Project Engineering

Each customer is assigned a full-time project engineer to manage every aspect of a project’s progress. The project engineer is the primary customer contact from the time an order is placed to design, manufacture, assembly, runoff, installation at the customer’s facility through start-up and production use.

Ahaus has a staff of three full-time project engineers with a combined 60 years of project management experience. Each has significant, practical experience in manufacturing, tool making, precision machining, workholding, fixturing and related industrial processes.

In addition to service as the primary customer contact, their duties include:

  • Coordination with all Ahaus departments to ensure the satisfactory resolution of project-related issues and maintenance of the production schedule
  • Facilitation of design and project reviews, customer visits and runoffs
  • Coordination of cross-functional Ahaus team for design review
  • Project documentation using a variety of tools, including Microsoft Project timelines, Open Issues Tracking lists, Meeting Minutes, Control Plans
  • Management and coordination of customer-requested changes, inquiries, etc.
  • Comprehensive weekly review of all aspects of a project’s status with management from all Ahaus departments to ensure budgets and timelines are maintained
  • Resolution of any issues that may arise during the debug and runoff process
  • Coordination of equipment shipping and installation
