Ahaus Receives Tax Abatement

Kevin Ahaus

As we continue to prepare for our future, Ahaus is proud to announce a recent tax abatement. This will allow for the purchase of two machines to continue the current pattern of growth.

President Kevin Ahaus said the two new machines are necessary as business returns to the levels prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ahaus fills manufacturing, tooling and automation equipment needs for its clients.

“Ahaus has seen a couple of years slower than normal,” he said. “We’re happy to report that things are picking up nicely, and this equipment is needed to enhance our capabilities and our capacity for the long term.”

The company will invest $1,020,000 in two pieces of equipment. Ahaus said one is the third piece of its variety and the other is the fourth of its kind to expand the company’s capacity.

Within our three business segments, we have seen steady growth in demand for precision machining, and these new additions set us up for expansion of those services. Vice President Jeff Sheridan commented, “These new machines will continue to expand our capacity and enhance our technology which is critical in meeting the needs of our customers.”

Ahaus greatly appreciates our partnerships with our local and county governments and the Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County as we look to build upon our 75 years as a local, family-owned company.
